BASENOR Roof Sunshade for Tesla Model Y Juniper 2025–2026

Why Consider the Black BASENOR Roof Sunshade for Model Y Juniper?

Most roof sunshades for the Tesla Model Y come in light gray to match the factory pillar trim, but many drivers prefer a sleek, dark ceiling that mimics a black alcantara headliner while blocking overhead sun glare. The BASENOR Nano Ice-Crystal Roof Sunshade in Black (manufacturer part number CA420-1, Amazon ASIN B0F9DNJWL6) is engineered specifically for the refreshed 2025–2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper glass roof.

Nano Ice-Crystal Matrix and Foldable Memory Frame

According to BASENOR's official product documentation and the Amazon listing for part CA420-1, this shade focuses on zero-gap light blocking and thermal reflection:

• Nano Ice-Crystal & Reflective Composite: Uses a multi-layer ice-crystal reflective matrix designed to block UV rays, prevent light penetration, and reduce solar heat transfer into the cabin.
• No-Gap Juniper Contouring: Molded around the updated 2025–2026 Juniper roof opening to sit snugly against the glass perimeter without center drooping.
• Clip-In Mounting & Oxford Storage Bag: Installs tool-free using perimeter retaining clips that slide into the headliner gap, and folds down into the included Oxford-cloth zippered storage bag when not in use.

Compatibility and Critical Fitment Checks

Before ordering ASIN B0F9DNJWL6, confirm your Model Y generation and interior color preference:

• Fits: 2025–2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper (refreshed Model Y roof geometry).
• Does NOT Fit 2020–2024 Pre-Refresh Model Y: If you own a 2020–2024 Model Y, choose the pre-Juniper BASENOR Roof Sunshade for 2020–2024 Model Y (CA375) instead.
• Not Verified for Model Y L: Do not assume compatibility with extended-wheelbase Model Y L models.

Black vs. Interior Gray: Aesthetic and Practical Trade-Offs

• Darker Cabin Ambience: This variant features a Black interior finish. While it looks sporty and eliminates overhead glare, it creates a visual contrast against light-gray factory pillar trim and makes the cabin feel more enclosed than an interior-gray shade. If you prefer an OEM-gray headliner match for your Juniper, compare the VION Interior Gray Roof Sunshade for Model Y Juniper (B0F3HP9BB5) or check our EV Accessories Finder.
• Full Blackout Coverage: Like other opaque thermal shades, it blocks upward visibility through the panoramic glass until removed.

Final Buying Recommendation

Best suited for: 2025–2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper owners who want strong summer heat and UV blocking paired with a dark black ceiling aesthetic and quick clip-in installation.
