I was a little skeptical at first, but this adapter works perfectly. The connection feels solid, and charging speed is just as fast as advertised. I’ve used it several times already at different stations with no issues. The build quality is really good sturdy, not cheap plastic.

It also fits snugly and locks in place just like the original Tesla connector. Honestly, it’s super convenient to have this now since I can use more charging options when I’m on the road. Totally worth it.

Not sure what’s better about the more expensive ones but this one works great. I bought one for my house and then needed a 2nd one to keep in my car so I bought a 2nd one. Both work great and it’s cheaper than other ones on Amazon.

We bought this because the connection that came with our Ford Lightning didnt work with our Tesla home charger. I guess that connector that comes with the Ford Lightning only works with the Tesla Superchargers. This is a great adapter though. Works great on our Tesla home charger and I’ve also heard that this will be needed to use destination chargers, like at hotels and restaurants and stuff. I’ve seen some people commenting on FB worrying about how hot their connector gets. This one doesn’t get hot running at the full 48A of the truck. So buy with confidence for use with Ford Lightning trucks.

This adapter is pretty solidly built and definitely feels well made when you hold it in your hands. The connection at both ends is also solid and doesn’t jostle around or feel loose at all, and so far the flow of electricity into the car has been as fast and consistent as expected. The little device is perfect to carry around, as it’s fairly small and can allow you to use a non-tesla charger if you’re caught too far away from home and don’t have other good options nearby. The device does come with a cloth case to carry it around in, which is definitely better than nothing, but some other models I’ve owned have a built in cap at one or both ends to help prevent dust or dirt from accumulating while not in use, which I’d like to see in this product.

Overall, despite the lack of caps on either end, this is a good product and I would recommend.
