Simple and effective! Great price. It rolls up tight to a thin shape for easy storage when not in use. The magnetic strip, along one edge, seals out the rain and snow nicely. But, of course it only works on steel fenders (not aluminum nor plastic). Recommend you ‘test’ your car with a magnet to determine if it will ‘stick’ to your vehicle. Works fine on my Tesla Model Y 2025 (steel fenders). Two velcro-type strips along the bottom help secure the plastic around the cord for extra security in windy conditions. I don’t frequently use it just for typical forecasted rain (Teslas are designed to keep out water in normal conditions) but I use it when severe windy rain storms or snow is forecasted.

This charging port protector is a pretty good idea. We have a Kona Electric, and we live in the Pacific NW. So, as you can imagine, we get an awful lot of rain, especially in autumn and winter. When the rain is really bad, I can imagine water seeping into the charging port even with the charger in it. The charger would protect the port while it’s charging, but I worry about water staying and entering the port after it’s removed.

This is a pretty ingenious item, that connects right above the charting port through a magnet stick. Correctly, they warn you to verify that the area above the charging port is indeed made of metal, otherwise the thing would not work. I tried it with this cover in the rain, and everything was fine, and the cover does protect the port.

On the pictures in the listing the cover looks nice and smooth, but with shipping it got very wrinkled when I got it. But it fulfills its function, and And seems to be of okay quality. I give it four stars.
