1. The charging code is beautifully designed, safe and super easy to use (has grounding conductor); Stated that it can be used indoor and outdoor
2. The user manual is super detailed, easy to read and intelligently written. (the chapter about how to use the app is great)
3. Comes w 2 year warranty, has option to extend it to 3 years at the time of purchase
4. UL safety standard certified, has over-voltage/over-current/over-temperature protection
5. Has Wifi connection function, you can monitor the charging status in real time; can also delay or set the charging schedule.
6. The app (“smart life”) offers an interface that can manage other smart devices as well. You can also check historical charging data (in “record” tab), super helpful if you live in a shared household and want to split the electricity bill.
On the app, you can share the device with family members and set the usage permission.

This charger has been performing very well with my Tesla Model Y. It consistently handles the full 32A charging load without any issues, no heat buildup, no interruptions, and stable performance every time.

The overall build quality is excellent. The housing feels solid, the cable is durable, and the connectors fit securely. I also appreciate that it includes a 240V to 110V adapter, which came in handy while I was waiting for my 240V outlet to be installed. That extra flexibility made setup much easier.

While I haven’t used the companion app yet, I like that the charger operates completely independently; no app or account required to start charging. I simply manage my charge scheduling through the Tesla itself, and it integrates perfectly.

The unit is weatherproof, which is another big plus. Mine is partially exposed outdoors (with the plug in a weatherproof enclosure), and it’s been holding up great through changing temperatures and weather.

Overall, this is a dependable, well-designed charger that delivers exactly what you’d expect from a quality Level 2 EVSE. Highly recommended for Tesla owners or anyone needing a reliable 32A home charger.

I recently purchased this portable EVSE, and I am really impressed with it.
First impressions:
1. Good design and built quality. Feels at par with major brands and is FCC, ETL certified and UL listed.
2. Comes very well packed and includes all necessary accessories like carrying bag, wall mount, cable mount and cap.
3. 25 feet cable, which is really handy.
4. Inbulit wi-fi and app control, which is very handy to manage the device and charge, and some comparable brands do not offer
this. App works like a charm and gives freedom to set charge level, scheduled charging and delayed charging.
5. Enclosure is weather-rated, and I used it outdoors in the rain, and it works without any issues.
The only negative I could find was the quality of the J1772 connector, and it feels plasticy; the clip is made of plastic, and I am not sure it can withstand time and drops. Perhaps a metal clip would have made it more durable.
No issues so far, and working like the way it should. Recommended product.

Had this L2 charger for 6 weeks now and I am ready to give my opinion. Have a 2020 Nissan leaf and the original charger can both charge L1 & L2, but the issue is with my dryer plug where this is connected. Being an older house I need a charger which I have options of charging at a lower amperage (21 amp) , so my old breaker won’t trip but have the option of charging up to 32 amp when available. This charger can be controlled on the device or with an app. Can use a timer and charge during non peak hours, and the app can keep a record on how much you charge that day, month or even the whole year. Great if you are keeping tabs on how much it cost to charge your EV. The Aimiler app is integrated with the smart life app, makes it easy to search and control all the smart devices in my house. So far I’ve been very satisfies with the purchase, device is easy to use and does not heat up that much even after charging for more than 9 hours. The charger can be easily pack away with the bag that it came with and the 25 ft cord is so convenient to use. Would recommend this to others if you are looking for your second or even your main charger.

Worked for 17 months, daily use, then quit working. LEDs is green (like it’s supposed to be while charging), but no charging happens. Tried factory reset, unplugging, etc. Other chargers still work fine on my car.

Aimiler contacted me a week later, and they just sent me a new one, saying they had a 3 year warranty ! Works great, and I have another 3 year warranty now. A nice feature of this unit is that you can limit the charging current to whatever you want (so it doesn’t overload your home circuits, for example) and you can even do it on the unit itself (though it’s easier with the app).

I love this charging station. It’s very easy to use, with the plug-and-play feature. It’s great, and it’s easy to choose the amp level. And with the app, I can track my kWh consumption and schedule my vehicle’s charging. And for trips to the cottage, it comes with a carrying bag. I highly recommend it.

So the hardware is great. Its charging and 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. I upgraded from an original evmotorwerks Smart Juicebox 40pro as it blew its contactor relay. (Yes I could have gambled and got one on ebay for 60usd.
I do like this new unit and it charges without fail.

I tried both this in Globe Suite and Smart Life (same interface)… The live data is live but the chart is useless- A: it doesn’t show it live, instead it only shows it when you unplug. B: its not fine grain enough to see how the on board charger is drawing particularly in the winter. They should be able to get it to record it better as it happens as the capability is definitely there. Overall monthly charts for total usage comparison is the only chart that is useful as the daily will only update when you unplug and it goes to that date.
Again, the live data updates great an with second granularity but its not recording as such, instead it only charts session total.

Cord is about 40/64″ thick and remains very flexible in -30c and a 3/4 loom fits perfectly over it (keeps the sun from damaging it as well as preventing chaffing on the ground) – my juicebox is 6 years old and the cable is like new!

[Update 6/1/25]
I’ve been using the charger for over 4 months now. My initial review impressions still stand. The charger has been completely reliable. I’ve had no issues with it at all. I mostly schedule charging using either the app or the buttons on the device to charge overnight to take advantage of my utility company’s day/night rate. The app continues to be basic and the historical energy use data doesn’t always display correctly. I really wish they could fix that.

I decided to upgrade from the level 1 charger than was included with my car. After looking at MANY different chargers I decided on this one as my first level 2 charger. NO REGRETS. This charger does everything I could want at a reasonable price. I only use it in my garage and don’t intend to travel with it. I’ve used it most days for over a month, and it’s been completely reliable. The build quality is very good and includes wall mounts and a travel bag.

I like that the charging rate (amps) is adjustable. My car can handle up to 32A but if I’m not in a rush I charge at 16A. I don’t know the science, but I thought it might be easier on the battery to charge at lower rates. I even tried 12A once and that worked fine. Remember that it’s your car (not this device) that determines the actual charge rate (up to the max set by this device) and the car will not always charge at the rate you set. For example, as the battery gets closer to full the car will reduce the charging rate. So, don’t be surprised if the charging rates vary somewhat. That’s by design.

I like that it’s integrated with the Smart Life app which I’ve already been using to control other smart devices in my house. The two main uses I was looking for was (1) View real-time charging data and (2) track my energy usage over periods of time. It does those two things to my satisfaction but overall, the app does feel a little basic. I’ve also noticed that in the “daily” energy use view it can sometimes be missing data for some days. The monthly and yearly views seem to work though. So, the app could use some improvements, but it has all the basics covered.

I’ve been impressed with the customer service from AIMILER. I emailed them before purchase, and they responded within a day or two. I emailed a few more times after purchase, and they again responded quickly with helpful and courteous responses. I was impressed by this given how customer service seems to have degraded so much in general these days.

The warranty is also impressive at 3 years. There is a printed card included that tells you to email them at aimiler@outlook.com and they will extend the warranty an additional 6 months. As long as the company stays around my impression is they will stand behind their product given how they handled my emails but hopefully I’ll never need to find out.

In summary, I’m very pleased with the charger so far. As long as it remains reliable, I’ll remain a happy customer.
